Local Aerial Classes

One of the most common questions as a beginner aerialist is, "where should I take classes?"

There are several places in the Oklahoma Metro that are the best to choose from.

1. Perpetual Motion Dance

This dance company offers aerial classes in both Norman, Oklahoma City, and Edmond. Most regularly are classes at ClimbUp Gym in Norman, Stuido7 in OKC, and at the Unversity of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Drop in classes happen 9am on Saturdays at ClimbUp, and later in the evening after 5pm at Studio7. You must be enrolled at UCO to take any classes offered. Open to all levels, beginner to advanced.

2. Teaze Pole Fitness

They offer great drop in aerial yoga classes, along with some metal work on the lyra. Other than that, they give pole fitness classes that are open to the public. This place is located right on automobile alley in downtown Oklahoma City. Open to all levels, beginner to advanced.

3. The Flying Okie

These classes are located in Central Oklahoma City. They offer drop in classes using silks, and the lyra. The instructor tends to focus on acrobatic technique and flexibility as well. Open to all levels, beginner to advanced.

4. Magic Tree

This studio is located in the back section of Velvet Monkey Salon. Not your typical aerial studio! But classes are just as good as anywhere else. They teach drop in classes in aerial silk and the lyra. Open to all levels, beginner to advanced.

5. Metro Gymnastics

Located in Oklahoma City, this place is great for younger pre-teen aerialists. They charge a monthly tuition instead of a drop in rate. This is the place to go is your child is looking to be an acrobat, or you want some more intense training.
