Need to know how to prepare to fly into your first aerial class? Well we got you covered! There is time that goes into each class since this is an intense extracurricular activity. The earliest of preparation starts a few days in advance.
1. First things first, drink plenty of water the days leading up to class. Nothing helps like good ole water! You don't want to be like this poor pup and get cramps or a headache from dehydration.

2. Make sure you keep up some cardio activity to be able to give your best for the entire length of the class! Simple strengthening exercises like plank, push ups, jumping jacks, and running is great.
3. About 3-4 hours before a class, do not apply any lotion onto your skin. During class this added moisture will only make your skin slippery. Your hands will not be able to grip strong enough to hold your body weight for long periods of time.
4. Before class starts on the day, arrive early to warm-up, stretch, and clear your mind. If the teacher does not provide a warm-up then this is essential! If you have a friend go with you to class, then you both can warm-up together. Some warm-up exercises to include are a few back-ups, back bends, lunges, feet stretches, and shoulder stretches. Clearing your mind and having a good attitude before class will help you focus and attempt new things!
All these tips will help you get the most out of each class! We wish you the best!
